If not, I will delve into the jqGrid code and try to add this myself. That's why I was wondering how come you haven't done it already: are there any problems that are preventing you from just setting the wrapper to percentage width, or you just haven't gotten around to it yet?

When I change the width of a column I can clearly see that the table is resizing within a div. Couldn't

a) this wrapper div just be set to 100% width OR

b) the table be put into the page without this div?

I have tried setting width of the wrapper div to 100%, but it's not working, probably because some JS overrides it at runtime.
