I have tried 4.1.2 and I get the same issue, this all worked fine in our original version, I think it was 3.8.5 or something like that.

I think than you're talking about this plugin :

http://plugins.jquery.com/proj.....QGridState

I don't think than this Plugin is really supported by Tony (JqGrid). Columns metadata are correctly stored.

I think than new JqGrid works for other parameters differently and the Plugin JqGridState has not been released since July 2010.

Two ways :

- you (plugin developper, we, etc.) correct the plugin
- Tony take time to implement fully Plugin with these features

I wrote a post to do that…

EDIT : using JqGrid 4.1.2 : all works except filters 🙂 try it 😉

when we upgraded from 3.8 to 4.0 we seemded to loose our grid stateoptions.

This happened to all our grids across the site.

We were declaring the gridstate as this:

,stateOptions:{cookieName: 'msrfGridState',columns: false,filters: false,selection: true,pager: true,order: true,expansion: true}

But now this does not seemt o take effect.

Looking at the page, all grid state library is there, but its functions are never called by JQGrid.

I''ve not been able to find anyone else with this issue on the net which seems very strange and makes me wonder about our implementatin, however the bottom line is it all worked and now it doesn't.

Best Regards,

Rod
