Just want to let u know how I resolve the problem. I put master and sub grids before other html elements. It resolves the problem.

I think I am experiencing the same problem as described in this thread:

Just want to add more observation here:

The form edit dialog does show but off browser window. I can zoon out to see the dialog box. That proves it's not related to z-index, but position.

The problem turns into how to resolve relative/absolute position of form edit dialog.

Hi,

Form editing dialog does not show up when I turn on other html elements! If I remove other html elements(css, table, javascripts), leaving just jqGrid related code, the form editing dialog shows up just fine.

Once the edit/add button is clicked, the page is shaded, but no dialog shows up. Is this related to zIndex? How should I troubleshoot this problem? I looked into the jqGrid code, found the default zIndex of the Form editing dialog is set to 3000. But I don't have any zIndex settings on my html elements.

Please help.
