Hi all,

Well, i spent a week searching the internet and this forum for answers on why the editData option was not appending data to whatever was being posted to the server when I tried using it in navGrid and editGridRow but it just did not work. I thought i was just not understanding the docs or i programmed it wrong.

As it turns out, for those that downloaded the 4.1.2 production version and are using jquery.jqGrid.src.js, there is a bug in a line of this file.

I stumbled across a post by http://stackoverflow.com/users.....15935/oleg; that points this out. While the problem has been fixed in the developement package, it has not been transfered to the production package that averyone is downloading. I guess it will once 4.1.3 is released.

So… just copy/past the fix indicated in Oleg's stackoverflow post above to your copy of jquery.jqGrid.src.js and you'll be good to go!

In any case, I can't beleive that no one has bothered to post this simple solution in this forum, at least i have not found it, considering that so many users on this and other forums have posted having problems with this very issue and have been steered in every other direction other than towards the solution to the real problem!

While i haven't enjoyed wasting a weeks' worth of my time, at least i found the solution and hope this post will save others from wasting their time.

Good luck.
