        	        	<description><![CDATA[<p>I am using jqGrid with the filter toolbar on a client project. However, the type of filter my client wants is the equivalent of a LIKE in SQL. I know that I can provide one &#39;sopt&#39; option for each column and it will be used in the filter toolbar. The contains is <span style="text-decoration: underline;">almost</span> exactly what I need. However, my client wants records that <span style="text-decoration: underline;">partially</span>&#160;match the keyword provided to show up in the filtered results.&#160;</p>
</p>
<p>Is there anyway to extend jqGrid to add a the &#39;like&#39; functionality that I am looking for? How would I go about extending jqGrid.</p>
