Yes this is possible. Read the docs about the user contributed modules - especially you can look for grid.tbltogrid.js module.

I'm building a site with lots of tables. I'd like to use a plugin like this one to improve usability, but the tables must remain accessible.

So what I need is to use the features this plugin provides but getting the data from the tables that are already created.

Is this possible?
