Hi, jqGrid is great. It definitely help me once I understand how to apply it.

I tried the inline cell editing. The current process is:

Click on a cell or; when a cell is already selected press <Enter (to editing mode)>

type data

<Enter(to save)>

arrow key to navigate to next cell

<Enter (to editing mode)>

type data

<Enter(to save)>

arrow key to navigate to next cell and the process continues.

As most will expect, user wants a more easier way to do mass data entry.
Has anyone manage to find an altermative plugin or incoding via jqgrid methods/function to complement jqGrid to make mass data entry smoother?

I am looking at process such as:

The top left most cell is already in editing mode (after data has been loaded)

type data

move to next cell by arrow/tab key# (in which case previous cell data is autosave if changes is made)

at new cell the cell is already turned to editing mode once in focus (no need for hitting <Enter> key)

#Note that left/right arrows are for left/right char positioning of the data in the cell. Hence to navigate to left and right column, to use shift-tab/tab

#up/down arrow is meant for going up down line if cell is textarea. But in my case I don't use textarea so will like up/down arrow to navigate to top/bottom of current cell

Is the above process do-able using jqgrid? Can someone comment how they may have make user experience better?

Thanks.
