I have created a dynamic jqgrid with ajax request to get the colmodel in first ajax request and the data in the next. My issue is that , I want the user to select value in a dropdown and then click on a "Load data" button. Based on the selected value in the dropdown I require to load the data in jqgrid. Basically this grid has to work for different backend tables and in the dropdown the user selects table name.The grid should load only on the button click event and data in the grid needs to be based on selected value.

How do i achieve this?

I found some samples.But all those are for static jqgrid .But my requirement demands a dynamic jqgrid which builds the colmodel in server side code.

Please help.
