You can have two fields - one with file name and other with full filename.

Then second can be a hidden, but when you select a row you can use them.

  I am using JQgrid to display file information. I don't want to display the entire path to the file. So, I would like to display the Filename to in the grid and when selected I would like to get the entire path. How can this be done in JQgrid. This similar to the combobox where key->value pair..

E.g

File = c:\xyz\myfile.txt

In the grid, the display should be myfile.txt. However, I would like to get the value c:\mtc\myfile.txt when the user select the row
