assume that there are 3 columns:  a,b,c

In the initial grid creation, 'a' was the sorted column with sortorder of 'asc'.  Clicking on column 'b' sorts it to 'asc' and click again to get a 'desc' sort.  I'd like to be able to skip the initial asc sort and let the user pick the 'desc' sort
