Use setCell to set a custom attribute, not css or class. That what you do can not work. You should use for a cell atribute vertical-align= bottom or what you want.

Has no effect. If I created a custom formatter to insert style inline would that work? Or is making vertical alignment on the roadmap for 3.4?
