I don't know if you've made any further progress on this, but it seems to have a lot of interest (here as well).

Perhaps a solution would be to implicitly disable sort on columns where colspan is present?

This feature is not implemented in 3.6 since of the sortable columns feature. When we have colspan and sortable columns we go in big problems.

I searched throughout this forum. many people are checking about the possibility of applying colspan on the grid column header. In one post, it is mentioned that this feature will be included in version 3.6 of the grid.

As this version is out now, can anybody here comfirm whether colspan is supported or not? and if yes, how to use it?
