<p>If your PHP code construct the grid you can easy do that. You can make you own ajax call to get the names and model from server and after that to construct the grid. If you try to update the existing grid you can do grid unload method and then repeat the procedure descriped above. As alternative you can use the new grid import features - check 3.4 beta</p>
