<p>Yes this is partial true. The CheckDate function accepts /,-,and . as separators.</p>
<p>You can write your own validator. See docs.</p>

        	        	<description><![CDATA[<p>Is it a must to use separator?</p>
<p>I tried to use editrules:{date:true}, datefmt:&#39;ymd&#39; &#160;but the it&#39;s always block input like &#39;20100101&#39;.</p>
<p>I notice that it is related to the checkDate(format, value) function so I do some test on the js console.</p>
<p>It seems that it only accept format with separator (e.g. Y-m-d, Y/m/d). Anyway to get around this??</p>
