The way I'm using jqGrid is like a list of pages that I can click on to AJAX load that specific page. It all works nicely except from the fact that I have resided to use the ondblClickRow event since I want to use the checkboxes to be able to select many pages at once and delete them. Double clicking is something I want to get rid of, so I wonder if there is some way that I can use the onSelectRow event instead to open my pages but that the event should not fire when I check a checkbox. Any idea how can I achieve this?

Not sure if this is detailed enough but if you need more information just holler. Using the latest version of jqGrid.
