I have resolved the issue. I made the sortable:false in the grid configuration to stop the column reordering. I enable the column reordering only through the column chooser.

Then, followed the help described on the following url-

Anyone can easily save the user preferences (e.g. sorting,paging,filter,ordering,column width,hidden and visible column) for the user's next visit.

Can you please let me know the cases in which getDataIDs and selarrrow can give the 1,2,3,4... as the row ids instead of the actual column value that I marked as key:true in the col model.

Also, please suggest me how can I correct the problem.

Details:

I have col1 to col 7 in my grid. I have marked col 4 as key:true. getDataIDsgives the values of the col4. But when I change the order of few columns(here I have saved the column permutations) and then (on restoring the column permutations) getDataIDs  gives the rowid values as 1,2,3,4......
