Oh, well. Possibly side effects of Drupal caching combined with my impatience.

After clearing the cache on the server side and coming back to the code after lunch, it works fine.

Never mind. It seems that my problems are all caused by the fact that the language data (3.6.2/js/i18n/grid.locale-en.js) was not loaded from the server. Firebug shows that "jquery.jqGrid.min.js" is loaded but the language file is not.

Sorry for the interruption. Will report back later.

Problem 1:

While playing with 3.6.2, I think I may have hit a bug where optional data are missing default values.

What I see is that in the navigation bar (pager) of a grid, next to the icons, I see an "undefined" label. Following the code in "grid.formedit.js" to the "navGrid" function, I see that things like "o.addtext", "o.edittext", "o.viewtext", etc. being rendered but they do not have a default value in the local variable "o".

Problem 2:

I see a message box with the text "undefined" in the middle of my grid. I think it is where the "Loading..." message should be. Also, the "undefined" message box does not fade away like the "Loading..." message does.

Problem 3:

I am missing the "Page <box> of <total>" and "View ... - ... of ..." parts on the pager.

Any pointers to directions of troubleshooting would be greately appreciated!
