I have a grid (v 3.8.2) that allows form editing and I would like to display a blocking UI message while updates are posted to the server.

I've tried using blockUI to block/unblock the form in the beforeSubmit/afterSubmit events, however the update seems to occur synchronously which prevents blockUI from working correctly.

Is this possible?
