With this you can set the number of characters. To use pixels you should use class or CSS. 

All the edit options are added with attribute function from jQuery, so this must work. Check the right syntax.

In fact I can't seem to set any variables in editoptions

editoptions:{size:'10px'} doesn't set the field size to 10px
