@Oliver - I am pretty sure there are some datepicker widgets based on jQuery, but I personally cannot recommend one since I haven't worked with them. A google earch should get you a decent list.

Modifying the themeroller css isnt the best way to go. Firefox users can install the ThemeRoller Dev tool, which will allow them to change the theme dynamically on your page - and if they do, they'll lose the z-index.

A better idea is to add:

body .ui-datepicker { z-index: 2000 }

to a <style> in your page, or to a referenced stylesheet.

The "body" is just to make it more specific than the themeroller rule.
