First off, let me say that I'm very new to jquery. Having said that, I have found the jqgrid plugin to be very easy to setup and use.

Here is what I'm trying to do.

Currently, I have a three grids each in their own tab. When the page initially loads I have a php function that populates a callout with the number of rows in the grid (this function is separate from the jqgrid funtion used to get the data).

When a row is acted on (add, move, change) the grid is reloaded via a trigger, but the callouts remain unchanged.

Is there a way to access the record count returned from jqgrid and use it to populate an element outside of the grid?

Thanks in advance. You guys have no idea how much this forum has helped do far.
