I suggestion to change the line https://github.com/tonytomov/jqGrid/blob/master/js/grid.formedit.js#L268 that the code changes work and one can use "Enter" key in the search dialog started from the Navigation bar.

What do you think about adding adding a simple code like in my answer on one question on the stackoverflow in the main code of jqGrid. It seems to me that many people will use this feature intuitively.
