For resizing there's an existing add-on I found that works well for me:

Maybe you could use this until Tony completes his own implementation.

Hello,

This is the next stuff related to jQuery UI. There is no problem with the width, but we has a some problems with the height. Also maybe - if I have time - I will provide a build in method.

Congratulations for jqGrid, it is really a great, well documented and full featured plugin!

Please let me know how I would can to add the resizable and drag'n drop feature

to the entire grid , like as jQuery dialog box resizable and moveable effects.
