A suggestion:  Option to not show Pager controls in the Pager

Use case: Designer knows that this is going to be a small and finite-length grid — a list of contact phone numbers and phone types, say.

One option is to not show a Pager at all, and this works, but then the grid loses its nice bottom framing.  The grid also loses its capacity to carry those action icons.

So currently it is all or nothing.  This bottom area *could* be used to do other things, like hold a status message, or some other indicator.

If the Pager controls were inside a DIV then we could do something more flexible with the bottom area.

I suppose the underlying issue is “Pager” currently stands for three abstractions: 1) the page controls, 2) the action controls, and 3) and the bottom-framing of the grid, which is attractive and could be used for other purposes, like status messages.
