<p>Specially for "date" type&#160;( datetime is not available in any browser yet ).</p>
<p>That is the same functionnality than text but can automatically use html5 datepicker.</p>
</p>
<p>I think it&#39;s just authorizing "date" value ( edittype: &#39;date&#39; ) and treat it like "text" in jqgrid.</p>
</p>
<p>Furthermore, this could facilitate integration of jquery datepicker if html5 "input type date" is not available in browser version ( with modernizr or other ) without adding a single line on the colmodel ( which is long enough 🙂 ).</p>
