The ability to add a fixed footer (like the actual header).

Filtering in the footer:

In the footer the ability to add some filtering controls - such
as selects, textbox, date-pickers, checboxes - etc. These controls
needs to be able to be either "standard" or custom html.

Some sort of notifying the grid to refresh when the filter controls have changed to refresh the grid's data. Both with or without the "auto-postback" feature.

As jqGrid is a good client-side example of the GridView from ASP.NET
what about a jqDetails the client-side equivalent of the DetailsView,
jqForm the client side equivalent of the FormView - or something similar.

A .NET wrapper / Ajax Extender to transform the regular ASP.NET
GridView control into a jqGrid friendly control - perserving all the
features of the GirdView and enhancing with some of the new features
of the jqGrid

Looking forward to hearing those features into the next versions of the
jqGrid.

I think in the near future I can help with the .NET wrapper - but how can I
contribute?
