Currently, I have a couple of grids that require information to be filtered before hand, but also to give the users options to change the filtering based on a select list of options.

What would be really nice is if you could select a value in the list as selected from page load so that the select list shows that its been selected, kinda like $('#grid-col-selectlist').val('') or maybe something in the settings when creating the grid? 

I looked all over and couldnt find anything, so if something can be done to allow this, it would be great!
