Thanks Tony, I missed that.

You're right, auto width does not work well in IE, so the form includes a scroll bar which then messes up the height display. But when I set width manually and leave height to take care of itself, it seems to work fine.

Thank you very much

Reg

Hello Reg,

This is already implemented.

Also in edit form we have 3 params responsible for width and height - width, height and dataheight.

http://www.trirand.com/jqgridw.....rm_editing

All of them can be set as 'auto' (instead of some numeric value).

The problem that maybe you will face is that in IE related browsers setting the width to auto will cause problems.

There is no problem for the height instead.

Regards

Tony

The nicest new feature that I can think of (and it would save me hours of fiddling) would be to have jqGrid automatically set the height and width of the edit form to match the contents.

That would be wonderful ... Tony? please?

Thanks
