e.g.  when you click on a cell, e.target is e.g. the content of a table cell. Then you want to find to which jqgrid it belongs be executing code like :
$(e.target).closest("table.ui-jqgrid-btable")

Previous the class for the table was ui-jqgrid-table and it changed to ui-jqgrid-btable…
