Thanks Tony, I ended up attaching a function through dataevents for the dropdownList, onchange envent for the dropdownlist will request addtional data from the server and populate the other input fields in the edit form.

use brforeShowForm event and ajax to repopulate the dropdown

I have a dropdown list in the edit form, and based on the selection during edit or add, I need to pre populate additional textboxses. Is it possible to do this, since during change event in the dropdownList, i have no reference to the formid. Any help will be appreciated.
