Thanks. Yes this feature is discussed here many times. The reason that it is not included is the nature of the control - requiere some things wich will maybe destroy other.

Also as I suggest you can use Ajax file upload plugin and intialize it only once in onInitializeForm event.

Firstly, well done on such a fantastic plugin, this is by far the best grid plugin around at the moment,

Forgive me if this has been asked and answered before but searching the forums doesnt give any results, I read in the documentation that file upload support can be added by using a ajax file upload plugin, I have a project that i'm working on and would love to use jqGrid as the mgmt page for various records, my problem is that the records also need to support file upload for uploading icons to the server, I have done some experimenting with adding custom toolbar buttons and opening a seperate add/edit page but am not happy with the result, I would prefer to use the inbuilt jqGrid form for adding and editing or records but iI need to be able to support file upload,

Would it be possible to provide any code examples or point me in the right direction for including a file upload plugin ?

Any help or support you could provide would be greatly apreciated,
