Update on the noted issue - apparently the issue goes away when I add sortname/sortorder attributes in the options. With these added, the sort icons don't appear anymore on the rownumber column. Since we're doing tableToGrid, there's no guarantee that the original grid was sorted, therefore, adding these options does not help as the grid is still unsorted - I would have to invoke the sort event after conversion.

I think having tableToGrid option is great idea since it allows viewing the data even if javascript is disabled.

Hi Tony,

Thanks very much for this great grid! (BTW, you should put up a donation thing up -- all I found was paid support).

Question: with 3.5beta, I'm using tableToGrid to convert a normal table to a jqgrid (with loadonce set to true) - works fantastic, however, there seems to be very minor bug with the viewsortcols feature. I have both viewsortcols and rownumbers enabled with true. Upon original page load, the row numbers and the viewsortcols show perfect. However, as soon as I sort one of the columns, the sort up/down icon gets added to the empty header for the rownumber column. Unfortunately though, the icon is just visible, I can't sort it or anything when I click it.

I guess since this is a loadonce table, the rownumbers actually get shuffled too due to sort on the other column - this is different on my other tables where each sort goes back to the backend, so the row numbers always reset everytime another sort occurs.

Therefore, I believe this issue is isolated to loadonce feature - can this be fixed by either a) actually making the rownumber col sortable (or provide a way to make it sortable to reset it to the as converted state from tableToGrid). or b) remove the sort icons on top of the rownumbers column. I guess an option to do either a or b would be best. What do you think - is this an issue or some other usage error?.

Thanks,
