This is not a bug, but the way that jqGrid construct its content. If you go deeper in this div you will find your table with the id jQGrid_List

If i am setting the grid id to a certaiin value, the system is updating the id by prepending gbox_ to that id.

Sample:
initial id: jQGrid_List
final id: gbox_jQGrid_List
