The Norwegian translation in grid.locale-no.js is incomplete. $.jqgrid.defaults should be for instance like this:

$.jgrid.defaults = {
    recordtext: "Rad {0} - {1}, totalt {2}",
    loadtext: "Laster...",
    pgtext : "Side {0} av {1}"
};
